Singer / Songwriter / Producer

Known for his work with the grammy nominated band Zero 7 and for his outstanding work with Nightmares on Wax. 

 

After contributing to the first two Zero7 albums (Simple Things and When It Falls) Mozez launched his solo career and now record, produce and write for his own label London-based Numen Records.

As a solo artist, he has  released albums, So Still, Time Out, Lights On, Wings, Dream State and Dreams.

Over the last ten years Mozez has focused his attention on working with a wide range of Singers, Producers, Writers, DJs via his label Numen Records, assisting in producing, writing, singing and promoting and releasing a number of albums and singles for various artists.

Including Grammy Nominated Producer Dave Pemberton, Frank Joshua, Rachel Modest, Tom Quick, Mari Conti, Tim Angrave, Michael Arkk, JOW, WA, Whitelight, Val Proletarski and others.

In a review of  Mozez, critic Norman Mayers wrote in California-based Prefix Magazine: “Every so often an artist comes around who refuses to be categorized, someone whose music is so creative and unusual that it manages to simply exist on its own merits. Mozez is such an artist.”

Mozez’s earliest musical roots were based on gospel, soul and reggae, but he grew to embrace a wide range of other musical genres and styles including Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, The Carpenters they became as big an influence on his musical taste as Curtis Mayfield, The Commodores and The Isley Brothers.

“I was an avid listener, and all those guys became a part of my musical assimilation,” Mozez says.
